Annual Summer Lūʻau
Kālua pig, live music, hula, and games for the whole ʻohana. Our biggest gathering of the year.
E komo mai · Welcome home
Ka Puʻuwai ʻO Hawaiʻi gathers Hawaiians and friends of the islands across North Carolina to share aloha — through hula, music, language, food, and the lāhui we carry with us.
Ka Puʻuwai ʻO Hawaiʻi — “the heart of Hawaiʻi” — is a nonprofit cultural community keeping island traditions alive far from home. Whether you were born on the islands or simply love them, there is a place for you here.
Kālua pig, live music, hula, and games for the whole ʻohana. Our biggest gathering of the year.
Being far from the islands doesn't mean leaving them behind. We keep language, dance, and tradition alive — and we welcome anyone who feels the pull of aloha.
Members get early event access, hula & language classes, and a welcoming community. Your dues and gifts keep our culture thriving in NC.
